Himitsu! Why did no one tell me it was coming out this season along with Bus Gamer, Amatsuki, YGO 5D's and Junjou Romantica?! I'll have to clear out space on the hard drive for what might become a download-happy season; I've read some of the summaries, and I think I like this~♥
Well then, it explains why I've been feeling the Ivan and Tristen love all over again, right, Ariri-nee?
HikaGo/Oofuri: Since Ariri-nee wants me to continue this, do you think it works as it ends here, or should I continue?
Touya glared and refused to move from his spot. "No way I'm going to play!" He crossed his arims when he saw the hopeful looks from the team who was in the practice field.
"Hey, it's been a while since I've played on the mound. Count me in." Waya dropped the bag and headed to where an energetic boy was swinging at the pit. Isumi followed, and they could hear the batter greet them with a loud, "Hey, I'm Tajima, wanna play ball?!"
"Come on, Touya, it's just the best thing to do after sitting in seiza for so long."
"_I_ never have problems with sitting in seiza."
Touya pretended not to hear Shindou's "Because you're such a stiff-backed freak" comment. The pitcher and catcher was walking over to them, and he couldn't help but feel bad at not joining them, with the pitcher twiddling his fingers.
"I'm Abe, and this here's Mihashi."
"I'm Shindou, and this is Touya. You met Waya and I'm trying to get him" - Shindou jerked his thumb Touya's way - "-but I guess he's never played baseball before."
Touya spoke up. "I have, you know. In middle school PE. But it's too hot to play."
Abe looked at him and Touya stared back. It was obvious he thought it was perfect weather to play, but then Touya was certain Abe played every day, rain or shine. He looked like he was the dedicated type. Touya could appreciate that, being a dedicated (read: obsessive) person himself, but his obsession was go, not for this hot, sticky game of hit and catch under the sun.
Mihashi stopped twiddling his fingers, and stared at him wide-eyed. "Uh. B-but it's going to be good, you know. If you can play with us even for a bit...." His words faded off to nothingness, and it seemed his words were enough to get Abe going.
"You can stop after one inning. We're just waiting for our captain to arrive." Abe inclined his head to Mihashi. "Just give him a chance to pitch, why don't you?"
Touya sighed as Shindou grinned at him. "One inning."
"Great!"
"I'm going to strike out the moment I get on that base," Touya warned. Abe shrugged.
"It's what happens here all the time."
